For VxRack Neutrino's target customers, the alternative is "Red Hat OpenStack solution-a proven solution that uses Dell servers and switches, delivered through a strategic partnership with Red Hat, and is a combination of Dell EMC and Red Hat joint engineering design", or ScaleIO OpenStack reference architecture, supports Mirantis and Canonical OpenStack environments.

They also want support and training opportunities outside of Dell EMC, such as Red Hat. Allegedly, customers want more flexibility than a fixed integrated design. There is also a VxRack System with DSSD.ħ.months later, EMC decided to phase out the VxRack Neutrino system. The smallest VxRack system has 4 nodes, 45 Bricks, 108 nodes make up P and I Bricks.
It consists of P Brick processing nodes and I Brick storage/computing nodes (hybrid flash and disk storage). In May, this system was named VxRack System with Neutrino Nodes-there will be 108 such nodes, which will become a pre-packaged OpenStack system. In this VxRack 1000-based product, the storage part is ScaleIO virtual SAN storage software, ECS object storage software, and DSSD all-flash array. This system can run cloud-native applications and big data analysis workloads on a large data center system. VxRack Neutrino was announced in February this year. EMC will eliminate the hyper-converged, rack-level, horizontally scalable, and integrated VxRack Neutrino products.
